My Background

In 2001 I completed a 4-year honours degree at the University Of Edinburgh in Computer Science covering all aspects from software engineering and programming through to computer architecture.  I also have A-Level qualifications in Computer Science and Mathematics in addition to numerous GCSEs.

Following university I was employed in a government department as a programmer where I assisted in the creation of many websites to assist their customers. Currently I am employed as a software engineer by a leading indigenous software development and consultancy company based in Belfast. Here I assist the company with the maintenance and support of several major clients’ websites.

Content Management

I have been working with content management systems (CMS) for many years now and I can assist in creating a fully user-managed and easily updated content website using many different CMS applications.  I specialise in free and open source products such as WordPress and Joomla but I can accomodate any specific CMS requests.

I.T. Skills

My knowledge extends to ASP.Net in both C# or VB including the integration of Javascript or VBScript code as well as excellent HTML and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) skills. I also know and use the Java programming language in conjunction with JSP pages on a daily basis. I also have detailed knowledge of both Oracle and SQL database structure and querying.
